CCC 49 - On Origins

Comic

In case you people think I'm incapable of writing that isn't racist (which I'm not, I honestly don't know where you people are getting that idea, I just happen to write characters who know a thing or two about statistics and principles of self-selecting descriptors), I decided to go for a decidedly more metaphysical angle in this comic. If you don't understand it, I'm honestly not surprised, since the Big Concepts generally fly over the heads of people who already have their own worldview solidly embedded in their mind. "What? There are multiple valid ways to view the life of Christ? *sticks fingers in ears* I CANNOT HEAR YOU LA LA LA!" I think we've all heard that refrain a few times, and I expect to hear it more than once before this comic ends.

This comic also brings to light a somewhat new direction for CCC; I want to take it into more philosophical/metaphysical/theological grounds. As a Philosophy major at a liberal arts college, I write fairly often on issues of normative ethics and comparative literature, and I think that's fair game for a comic, especially since so much of it is absurd. Seriously, if you don't laugh your ass off while reading Beyond Good and Evil, I laugh my ass off at you. I know that Ryan North has already gone for this kind of thing a couple times, but there's room for two awesome intelligent comics on the Internet.
